Johan Rydqvist will be joining the Ignis European sales team to cover the Nordic region in early February. He joins Ignis from Bank Sarasin Asset Management and will report directly to Philip Goldsmith, managing director Europe.

Mr Rydqvist will be responsible for developing Ignis’ distribution capability and servicing key clients in the Nordic region including Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, primarily in the wholesale and institutional markets.

The firm has also hired Billie Croan to the position of director, liquidity sales. He will report to Bruce Campbell, head of liquidity sales.

Mr Croan joins from Irish Life & Permanent where he had been investment director for money markets since April 2008. Before that he worked with Standard Life Investments where he was investment director for money market funds for eight years.
